The Original Pizza: Authentic Italian Flavors Await You

I'm from Illinois. A friend of the owners highly recommended that I try the food here when I came to Colorado to visit my mom. I said sure and offered to write a review. That was in June 2022 and my review is long overdue! The atmosphere is amazing! You step inside and you feel like you have been transported to another place entirely! (I New York!) It is a quaint family-owned, mom-and-pop type restaurant. The main room features a huge oven that they use to cook your food! There are some arcade games and signage that make it welcoming and unique. The side room appears to be set up for fine dining in the evening, with a variety of wines available. When we were there, it seemed like lunch was set up more for a grab-and-go type experience. We hit the end of lunch, but the family was gracious enough to let us sit at a table to enjoy our meal. It was a delightful experience! I had the Stromboli lunch special. It was excellent! I had never had Stromboli with sauce on the side for dipping. Super yummy! As we left, I also noticed fresh produce and seasonings being grown right outside the door in planters. What a great idea to keep meals fresh! In my opinion, they would have excellent results if they were to do a food truck. Set it up with those select lunch menu items for a grab-and-go type meal! It's a bit out of a drive, but I look forward to returning the next time I'm in Colorado! My mom feels better when she eats gluten-free, so I think next time we will plan to get the gluten-free pizza! *The menu and some information may be out-of-date due to the delay in posting this review.*

1st time here. We had a big party and they took our orders and had our food out within 15-20min period. Antipasta salad was big. Enough to feed atleadt 4 people and the thin crust pizza had a nice flavoring.

The food is awesome. Quintessential neighborhood restaurant and very authentic Italian food. Family and friend run. Kids are the servers and and one can tell the chef and cooks have generations of experience. The authenticity is real. Two thumbs up. Got a pizza and canzone. Crust on the pizza was spot on. They know what they are doing.

OMG dont even have the words to tell you how good the food is here personally i love the sizzler pizza fresh garlic and pepperoni yum i would recommend this place to anyone looking for good Italian food. Pizza pics from 9/26/25. The restaurant was busy when we picked up our order tonight and the staff were getting it done! Thank you for the great service. Ps I told the owner I would take pictures while on my New York trip so I figured I would share a couple here as we had a family emergency while in New York and had to come back to Colorado before getting pizza in New York. So with that said thank you for making great New York style pizza in Colorado.

We picked up pizzas for a large group activity. They were super kind, we had to wait a little bit for the pizza but we ordered a lot. So we had no problem waiting. The owner is very nice and helpful, the workers carried the pizzas to the car was very nice. Also best cannolis I have ever had, definitely freshly made.

Food is exceptional! Service was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Wow! Where has this Italian restaurant been all my life? I can honestly say that Original Pizza really has one of the best, if not THE best, pizza on the north side of Denver in the Broomfield/Westminster area. Really delicious and fresh baked pizza - we had the aptly-called Best Seller Pizza. The toppings are just great and really nails that NY-style crust, just right! Prices are decent and I LOVE family-owned, mom-and-pop "ristorantes" like this place. Has now become our favorite place for pizzas and good Italian fare. Tiramisu is literally Grandma's recipe. VERY highly recommended - drop everything and go now!

We’ve been here several times since discovering it - a good option for Italian. Great service, everyone was very friendly! Parking - plenty of parking in a lot. Food - The best seller (pizza) - got twice now, once dining in and once to-go. Dine in was great and cooked well. To-go was disappointing as it was quite undercooked. Would give it another shot. When we ordered to-go, the employee said to order it as a custom pizza since we didn’t want mushrooms (which is cheaper than ordering it as the best seller with a substitution). Overall rating 3.5/5. The sizzler (pizza) - delicious with the garlic (if you love garlic, it’s a must try). Tried once during dine in. Would get again. Overall rating 4/5. Baked ziti - good but very cheesy. The sauce and ziti tasted great. Definitely shareable as it’s a big dish. Would probably get again. Overall rating 3.5/5. Spaghetti & meatballs - classic, huge portion of pasta and meatballs.
